Float Plane Tours From Tofino To Hot Springs Cove
Experience the magic of a flight out to remote Hot Springs Cove, where guests can enjoy a therapeutic mineral hot spring that gushes out of the rainforest and cascades down a waterfall into a series of natural rocky pools.
The pools range in temperature as they are gradually cooled by ocean swells - average temperature is approximately 50 degrees Celsius. The flight up the coastline includes over 20 miles of spectacular beaches and islands, the chance to experience Clayoquot Sound from the air and hopefully see some of the abundant wildlife that makes the area famous. Once the pilot has delivered you to the dock there is a pleasant 30 minute boardwalk through the old-growth rainforest out to the Hot Springs. The total tour time (including flights and boardwalk) is approximately 3 – 3.5 hours.

- We are limited to 12 passengers per day - flights sell out very quickly.
- This tour is offered year-round (weather permitting).
- The flight from Tofino to Hot Springs Cove takes about 15 minutes, each way.
- The boardwalk from the dock to the Hot Springs takes guests an average of 30 minutes (just under 2 km). Every group is different so we recommend keeping an eye on the time it takes you on the way in so you can be on time for your pick-up.
- There are composting toilets available at the dock and near the Hot Springs.
- There is a change room available at the Hot Springs with a covered area to leave your belongings.
- There are no stores in the park so anything you want for your trip you’ll need to bring along with you.
- This is a ‘pack it in, pack it out’ location so anything you bring with you must be packed out with you.
- Pets are not permitted in the park.

- Towels
- Sunglasses and Sunscreen or Rain gear depending on the weather
- Snacks
- Water (no glass bottles please)
- Sandals or water shoes are nice for the Hot Springs
- Good walking shoes for the boardwalk to the Hot Springs
- Camera
- Warm layers for the way home

- All prices are subject to a 5% sales tax and an 8% fuel surcharge
