Glacier Safari

45 MINUTE FLIGHT

Discover deep inlets carpeted with old growth rainforest, that stretch toward the glacial peaks of Strathcona Park. These Glaciers are at least 10,000 years old and may have started 80,000 years ago with the beginning of the ice age. After viewing the glaciers from an altitude of 5,500 feet the aircraft heads back down towards the coast. The remaining time of this trip is used for viewing the spectacular coastline with a chance to see whales from above. The potential for an undisturbed look at the entire whale from above is unforgettable.

After departing the peaks of Strathcona Park head towards one of our pristine mountain lakes and make a landing. Bring along your own picnic lunch or favourite beverage to enjoy in the absolute tranquility, or jump in for a refreshing swim! Next, hop back in the seaplane for the rest of the tour; this includes 30 – 40 miles of the most beautiful coastline Vancouver Island has to offer - sea lions, miles of pristine beaches, sea caves, light houses, and as many as 3 different types of whales!
