Frequently Asked Questions About Flying With Us
When can I fly?
We can fly all daylight hours, so let us know which day you are hoping for, and we can let you know the available times!
What happens if the weather is not good?
If the weather isn’t good enough to fly, then we will try to reschedule your flight. Worst case scenario, we cancel. There is no cancelation fee for flights canceled because the weather is too poor to fly.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require 24 hours notice for a change of time or cancellation. No Shows or cancellations with less then 24 hours notice are charged 50% of the flight cost.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept cash, debit, Visa or Mastercard — sorry but no American Express.
Can I bring my kids on a flight?
Yes you can! If they are 2 or older they get their own seat, if they are under the age of 2 then they sit on an adults lap.
Are there age, height of weight restrictions?
Age restrictions — No
Height restrictions — If you are taller that 6’6” it starts to get uncomfortable.
Weight restrictions — Yes, please let us know everyone’s weights if there are 4 or more passengers, and please let us know if you are 220 lbs or more.
What should I wear/bring for my flight?
Wear whatever you are comfortable in, but always bring layers! Many of our flights include stops, so it is always a good idea to bring a jacket on those flights, or bring a swim suit if you are stopping at a lake in the summer time!
What does “charter” mean?
Charter means that it is the price of the aircraft, NOT per person.
What currency are the prices in?
Canadian dollars
Where can I park?
Float Plane Tours — If you are flying in one of our seaplanes then you can park in any of the “2 hour” or “4 hour” spots along/near Main Street. If you are going on a longer trip, or overnight via seaplane, then the best place to park is the gravel parking lot, on the corner of Main Street and 3rd Street, the cost is $5/24 hours in the busy season (June - September) but is free the rest of the year.
Helicopter Tours — If you are flying in our helicopter, then you can park on the road (Airport Road,) outside the fence in front of our hangar.
When should I arrive for my flight?
We offer a fast and convenient check-in process, but we recommend arriving 15 minutes prior to your flight. Be aware that our little office on the dock unfortunately does not have a bathroom.
